What we see is what we follow the most. After family, teachers act as a role model for the students as they are the one who is seen more in the schools. Students behave in the same manner how their role model is behaving. Students learn the actions of their respective role models and apply that in their behavior with their peers.

Why it is important to inculcate values in students?
With the introduction of modern learning, students are involved only in the competitive run. They barely know about the social and moral values, how to live their lives, get engaged in doing for the interest of the country. It helps them to analyze what they want after their schooling. It intensifies the student’s knowledge in a way so that they can dwell well in society keeping in mind all the norms and values of the society.
Teaching about inculcation of values in school help the students to develop their skills and their overall personality. It defines a proper way to behave in society.

Treating value learning as a subject or having its chalk talk separately turns to be boring for students. Teachers are very well aware of how and what can bring in the interest of their students. So, they should indulge them to learn it in the way they would get involved. Some of the ways to incorporate it are to include values in the prayers, in certain subjects such as social science which depicts our values.
2. Integrating values in extracurricular activities
Education is not just about having a mark sheet or holding a degree it is all about to evolve the capacity of human intelligence so that they can be socially answerable and can be a part of a nation’s development. This all can only take place when childhood is embedded with the values and it should take place in the school itself. Co-curricular activities such as debate, story-writing or telling, dramas, etc are an appropriate way to teach about values.
3. Buildup value- consciousness through narratives
When the interaction takes place through stories it provides convenience to analyze why action is taken and what are its consequences and to bring a conclusion morally. It provides the ability to see if they would be in such a situation what might be their actions and compare the story with their own experience as to how to handle things with being morally correct.
